4th of July Weddings

Hello my lovelies!! And a huge Happy 4th of July Weekend to you all! I hope you had an awesome Holiday! For anyone not in The USA that might be reading this, The 4th of July is the day that my country celebrates the signing of our “Declaration of Independence” and essentially became the USA. It’s my favorite non-religious holiday for a lot of reasons- (Red!) And I promise not to bore y’all to death with all that lol. So in honor of my Homeland, I decided to do a post dedicated to the best Holiday of the summer! That way you all can see just how versatile the good ‘ole red, white & blue can be! Hopefully this will help a Bride, Maid or Mum out & get those creative juices flowing! Enjoy the Dapper y’all!

Creative Reception Table Numbers

Hello my sweets! I hope you all are having a great weekend so far. As you can probably guess, this post is about some awesome, creative ways to display the table numbers at your reception.
Really they can be used for any party or gathering you may be planning.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with wedding/party planning; Table Numbers are used so that your guests can easily find where they are supposed to sit. When you figure out the seating arrangement for everyone, you make individual cards or “escort cards” for each person with the table number & their name on them to put on display. Usually near the entrance to the venue is the best place.

I have heard & read that it is starting to be more of a trend to not have guests “assigned” to certain seats. And I totally get that. I personally did not have them at my wedding. But then again, I didn’t know about it either! I believe there are quite a few good reasons why you might want to have a seating arrangement: It makes counting how many people you’re serving a meal to easier. It helps take away the anxiety of making your guests have to guess where they should sit. On the more extreme end, you or your soon-to-be spouse might have family that just cannot sit near each other without fighting, ect. Heck, maybe you want to just for the fun decorative aspect! It makes your guests feel more involved in your big day to know you made a special place “just for them” at your dinner! And you don’t have to be throwing a party with 200+ guests to want to have a special place for them when they arrive. Either way, I do know when you’re in the middle of planning it is sometimes hard to come up with neat & fun ideas. I can easily do it for others but when it’s for Me I draw a blank lol. So hopefully this will help someone get their creative juices flowing. And maybe you will see something you might have not thought of on your own. I sure know I found a few I would’ve not thought about! Get your pin it buttons ready!

Red for Spring!

Ah yes my lovlies! This is a blog post with my favor-ite color in the world! I have loved it my whole life! Oh sure, I love lots of colors, all colors in fact. Color crushes come & go but my true love for the color of Love has never faded. And since Christmas & Valentine’s Day have come & gone,  everyone is looking ahead to Spring and all the lush pretty pastels. Which I love as well. But it seems I’m having some major red withdrawal. So I implore you all to not leave gorgeous red behind as we dive into Spring. Don’t wait for Summer to bring back the beauty of red hues. After all, Pantone Fiesta is a color for Spring 2016. Got it? Ok? Good! 😆 Here are some ways to incorporate red into your next Springtime Soiree & A lil bit of Dapper for your day. Peace! ✌💋❤😆❤

Pantone Color(s) of the Year 2016

Hello my lovelies!  I am really excited to bring to you The 2016 Colors of the Year from Pantone! You read that right! Colorsssss! For the 1st time since they started picking a “Color of the Year” (which was in 2000) the powers at be have decided on Two colors of the year.
Rose Quartz & Serenity

image

And I for one couldn’t be happier!

image

image

Aren’t they both just gorgeous??

When they announced the top 10 colors for Spring 2016 I was immediately drawn to both colors. They were my 2 favs besides Fiesta. Red is always #1 with me lol. And then when Pantone made the announcement for “Colors of the Year” , I could swear I heard the sound of wedding lovers everywhere squeal with delight! It’s the first time since 2006’s “Sand Dollar” that they’ve picked an actual pastel color. I’m already having a blast making a ton of inspiration boards lol 🙂 Also the nod to gender equality is pretty awesome! I had a feeling Rose Quartz might be color of the year, especially given all the pink & blush color wedding gowns that are out there now. And pastel blue isn’t too far behind.
So what do y’all think ~ Love it or Leave it? Is 2 colors of the year too many? Or do you like more choices? I said it before & I’ll probably keep on saying it, one thing for sure is 2016 is going to be awesomely gorgeous! I can’t wait to see what all those talented lovelies cook up for our eye candy fix! 😀 Here’s some pretties to help you decide which one you love ❤

Is Peach the new Pink??

image

Peach & Cream Bridal Bouquet

Hello my loves! Happy Friday the 13th! (It is a lucky day in my family. 2 of my siblings were born on that date) I hope this finds you all healthy & happy 🙂 We’re getting ready for Thanksgiving over here. Been some wild weather this Autumn, Tornados in Michigan in November? Okaaaay? lol. Thankfully no injuries though 🙂 So I thought maybe I would put Autumn out of my mind for a bit and look at the pretties for Spring 2016 Weddings.
Thus leading to the topic of this post. I must pose a question to you… Is Peach taking over Pink as the “Go to” pastel color for weddings? From my vantage point it is hard to say. They’re both very beautiful colors with all kinds of gorgeous shades in-between them. And add the fact that Pantone included both in their top 10 colors for Spring 2016 with Rose Quartz and Peach Echo.

image

See my dilemma? They are just both so pretty to me. Plus they also go great together. One arguing point for Pink is that a ton of designers have gone pink crazy in their bridal gown designs in the last few years, giving pink brides more choices than ever before. It’s an awesome color for brides who want a color gown but want to stay traditional as well. Pink is the quintessential color of softness & femininity. The popularity of Pink does make it a lot easier to find what you’re looking for. Then there is the Peach craze that has been flying just under the radar as well. Peach is great for brides that want just a bit more “Wow” factor than Pink can give. Not every bride is a Pink girly girl and Peach can be a great way to go for them. It can add softness without being too “Barbie” girl. Not to mention all those Southern Georgia Peach Brides 😁 . I must confess though, I am loving them both lol. But in this day and age of individuality, who says ya can’t have both? Here’s some pretties for you to drool over & maybe you can help me decide. Enjoy!
