Red for Spring!

Ah yes my lovlies! This is a blog post with my favor-ite color in the world! I have loved it my whole life! Oh sure, I love lots of colors, all colors in fact. Color crushes come & go but my true love for the color of Love has never faded. And since Christmas & Valentine’s Day have come & gone, Β everyone is looking ahead to Spring and all the lush pretty pastels. Which I love as well. But it seems I’m having some major red withdrawal. So I implore you all to not leave gorgeous red behind as we dive into Spring. Don’t wait for Summer to bring back the beauty of red hues. After all, Pantone Fiesta is a color for Spring 2016. Got it? Ok? Good! πŸ˜† Here are some ways to incorporate red into your next Springtime Soiree & A lil bit of Dapper for your day. Peace! βœŒπŸ’‹β€πŸ˜†β€

Grey & Lilac Grey Wedding Gowns ~ The Hot Alternative To Blush

Hello lovelies! How is your day this fine freeezzzing winter day? It’s just a bit (meaning a whole lot) cold up here in good old Michigan. Which even though I hate the cold, is really how it is supposed to be up here in January. So I am happy the weather is more “normal” than when we were having Tornados in December! (Btw, I’m a weather nut so weather talk actually intrests me lol)
One good thing about Winter to me is all the Awesomely Gorgeous Winter Weddings & Styled Shoots! We get to see what the many creative minds came up with for all the new Fall/Winter gowns, so exciting! And Soooo many pretties πŸ’–πŸ˜ŠπŸ’–
I was on Pinterest & Etsy.com *Swooning* over all the pretty gowns & decor and such, when I noticed A LOT of new grey/greyish purple wedding gowns on my fav designers sites. Even some old favs are available in grey now. Grey isn’t anything new of course, been around as long as all the other colors lol. But whoa what an influx that seems to be going on this Winter! And of course I’m in Love β™₯β™₯
What seems to be happening, to me anyway, is Blush gowns have become so much part of the “norm” for wedding gowns in the last few years that now Grey is becoming the new “it” alternative color of choice. An alternative to the alternative if you will. Especially for brides who want a bit of color but not be totally “untraditional”. What do you all think? Do you see this trend evolving & are you loving it or not so much? I think it is going to be sticking around for quite a few seasons. Especially with Pantone’s Lilac Grey helping it along! Here are some pretties to help you decide: Enjoy!
(and p.s. – these gowns are from all levels of price ranges)

Dapper Inspiration Daily ~ Color Crushes

Hello my sweets! I am inspired today to bring you some pretty eye candy in the form of inspiration/mood boards. For the last few months between NYFW 2015, The Holiday Season, Pantone Announcing their Color Reports & Colors of the Year for 2016, well to say the least, I’ve been crushing on lots & lots & lots of colors! I was trying to decide which colors to write about and how to apply them to the totally awesome weddings & parties y’all are planning. Then I finally just decided to show you instead lol πŸ˜‰ I hope these inspire some color crushes of your own! Enjoy πŸ™‚ ❀

Is Peach the new Pink??

image

Peach & Cream Bridal Bouquet

Hello my loves! Happy Friday the 13th! (It is a lucky day in my family. 2 of my siblings were born on that date) I hope this finds you all healthy & happy πŸ™‚ We’re getting ready for Thanksgiving over here. Been some wild weather this Autumn, Tornados in Michigan in November? Okaaaay? lol. Thankfully no injuries though πŸ™‚ So I thought maybe I would put Autumn out of my mind for a bit and look at the pretties for Spring 2016 Weddings.
Thus leading to the topic of this post. I must pose a question to you… Is Peach taking over Pink as the “Go to” pastel color for weddings? From my vantage point it is hard to say. They’re both very beautiful colors with all kinds of gorgeous shades in-between them. And add the fact that Pantone included both in their top 10 colors for Spring 2016 with Rose Quartz and Peach Echo.

image

See my dilemma? They are just both so pretty to me. Plus they also go great together. One arguing point for Pink is that a ton of designers have gone pink crazy in their bridal gown designs in the last few years, giving pink brides more choices than ever before. It’s an awesome color for brides who want a color gown but want to stay traditional as well. Pink is the quintessential color of softness & femininity. The popularity of Pink does make it a lot easier to find what you’re looking for. Then there is the Peach craze that has been flying just under the radar as well. Peach is great for brides that want just a bit more “Wow” factor than Pink can give. Not every bride is a Pink girly girl and Peach can be a great way to go for them. It can add softness without being too “Barbie” girl. Not to mention all those Southern Georgia Peach Brides 😁 . I must confess though, I am loving them both lol. But in this day and age of individuality, who says ya can’t have both? Here’s some pretties for you to drool over & maybe you can help me decide. Enjoy!

Dapper Inspiration Daily ~ Princess Ball Gowns

Hello loves! Happy new week to you! I hope this finds you all well & had a great weekend 😁
We are doing pretty good around here. Having family & friends over for the Big Game Saturday was a blast! (college football in case you’re wondering) Even though my team lost 😦 I had a lot of fun.

I’ve been watching all the gorgeously awesome wedding gowns coming from New York’s Bridal Fashion Week last week! Oh my, Oh my! Just truly Stunning groups of gowns after Stunning groups of gowns! And far as I could see, there were 2 equally stand out trends for 2016 brides. #1- Delicate Metallic Lace with Gorgeous Embroidered Details and #2- Romantic, Fairytale Princess Ball Gowns, like straight out of a dream. Some designers even meshed the two togther with some Seriously Stunning results! I sure don’t envy brides these coming seasons having to actually pick just one favorite gown! So many beauties can make your head spin & overwhelm even the most level-headed, organized Bride. So here is a list of Princess Ball Gowns by 10 of my favorite designers from last weeks’ Bridal Fashion Shows to help you weed through the masses πŸ˜‰
And FYI my next post will be a list of my favorite metallic & lace beauties, so keep your eye out for that in a couple days!
Hope y’all enjoy! 💖💖

Jewel Tones For Fall

image

Hello Lovelies! I hope you are enjoying your Summer. It is going by so fast this year. When it gets to be past my birthday though, I know the Autumn leaves & cooler air isn’t far behind. I’ve already seen some birds starting to flock even! I loooove my warm Summertime. But I also think Fall is the most spectacular season for colors. Oh so many colors lol!

Today I’m inspired by the beautiful jewel tones of Ruby Red, Amethyst Purple, Emerald Green & Sapphire Blue. So I put a couple pretty boards together for all you Fall/Autumn brides, maids & mums trying to get ready for the big day! Any one of these gorgeous colors would do just fine all on their own. But are just spectacular mixed together as well 💕 🌹  πŸ™‚

Now isn’t that just beyond beautiful!? Any way you mix it up, ya just can’t go wrong. Of course I’m totally partial to the reds, but all these colors are just so elegant & timeless.
I know bold colors can be a little off putting, especially if your wedding is more traditional or rustic rather than black tie or glam. But adding just a smidge of color can take you from a “cookie-cutter” wedding to one they’ll all be talking about for years to come, in a good way. You and your maids accessories are a great way to add a touch of color. As well as flowers & other decor. But there are All kinds of little unique ways to add a touch of wow factor. This is where Pinterest & other websites can come in handy. Other bride’s wedding blogs are good place to look too.
Don’t be afraid to browse around. You might be surprised to find things you would have never thought of otherwise πŸ˜‰ (side note…just be careful about looking at dresses if you already have yours picked out!)
Here’s a board with a couple ideas for adding pops of color to your wedding.

     image

I really like the idea of a color petticoat under your gown. So cute! And painting your nails to match the bouquets too!
Well that’s all for now. Have a blessed Thursday! And don’t forget to add a lil dapper to your everyday πŸ˜€ See ya next time 🌹🌻💖
