10 Blue Beauty Wedding Gowns

We all know the traditional wedding saying, Something old, new, borrowed & blue with a sixpence in your shoe. (Yes, that last part is really part of the original saying.😁)
And what I always found sort of funny is that the color blue is so deeply associated with weddings & traditions, but heaven forbid if you wear a Blue Wedding Dress! Well, Thank goodness things have changed a bit in the last decade. And wearing a color gown is not so frowned upon. I honestly cannot see a reason why your dress can’t be your something blue if that’s what you like?? All the bridal experts agree that you should have an open mind when trying on gowns, because “ya never know”. I would like to think trying on color gowns falls somewhere in that 😁.
There are really so many gorgeous blue gowns out there. So it’s a good thing blue gowns are a bit more accepted these days, especially with Pantone having 2 Blue shades in their Spring 2016 lineup.

I just had to include this last gown from Claire Pettibone. “Alchemy” is so gorgeous beyond words to me. But being that is costs $5000 I was a bit reluctant. I’m all about helping brides find affordable gowns but this one time I had to make an exception! This dress is Totally TDF! 😁

Well how about those goddess gowns? I am Seriously speechless! So beautiful. Hopefully you all found a gorgeous gown to call all your own or some dapper inspiration for your own unique creation 😁 I think a Gold Wedding Gown is a great way to stay traditional but with a slight twist. What do you think? Is a gold dress too much or a just right mix of traditional meets modern? I’d love to hear your opinion! Have a blessed day & enjoy the rest of your weekend. Just remember, add a lil Dapper to your everyday. See y’all next time 💖💖;)

*New Feature* ~ Etsy Finds of the Week

🌻🌻 Hello my lovelies! I bring to you today a new feature for my blog – “Etsy Finds of the Week”. I am forever finding myself looking on Etsy.com. A lot of the time because I’m on Pinterest, pinning away, and I will click on a pin to find the source and so many many times I end up on Etsy.com. I’m sorta OCD about my pins saying the correct person or place they came from, for example, making sure the right designer of a wedding gown gets credit ect… Which in turn leads me to all sorts of little gems I wasn’t expecting to find! 😁
So I thought, If I’m already spending the time and effort into this, I might as well share them with all of you as well. So here is my first list of Etsy.com finds of the week!

This week I decided to showcase Pink, Blush & Floral Wedding Gowns. The popularity of the “not quite white” wedding dress is very evident on Etsy. Lots of Vintage & New options for anyone who dares to go pink. ~Just a word to the wise, be careful you don’t end up looking like your headed to Prom instead of your Wedding. It can be a pretty thin line (unless that’s what you want then of course totally Rock it! ❤) Hope you enjoy!

Pantone Colors 2015 ~ Part 3 ~ Toasted Almond

Hello Darlings! How are you doing this sunny Monday? I’m doing very well 🙂 The past couple of weeks was quite the roller coaster around here with my oldest getting Married! Now I think the dust has finally settled a bit lol. Time to get back on track. And yes, I will be doing a post of her Big Day (Mommy promised not to til I get the ok. he he I’m dying to show you all!)
So happy to be blogging again! Another reason I had not blogged very much lately was because of technical issues (Read- my phone crashed and died) and I lost a lot of stuff I was working on for my blog. I was able to save my personal pics thank goodness. But it kinda put out my fire for writing a bit, ya know? But it didn’t take long to get it back 🙂
Here goes~
Today I am inspired by the Pantone Colors of  2015 ~ Toasted Almond.

image

Neutrals have always been a staple for wedding colors. Usually as an accent color. As of the last few years they have really gained popularity. With a lot of couples choosing Neutral Colors for their whole wedding. Especially with more brides opting for a Non-White gown, but still want to look traditional. Well honey, this color isn’t your average beige or sand. It has a kiss of warmth (i.e. toasted) that brings a feeling of elegant charm to any theme. It’s perfect for any season. The possibilities are endless. Rustic, Shabby Chic all the way to Black Tie Glam and back again. Of course it goes beautifully with pinks, reds, greens and blues. And then there is Black! Black and Toasted Almond are just to die for elegant! A neat little twist to your basic Black and White. So let’s get started with some pretty dresses and gowns.

See?? Aren’t they amazing? *Swoon Alert* going on over here lol! I also discovered in doing my research this colour is fantastic for Vintage or Art Deco style gowns.

And don’t be shy! Ya never know you might end up helping a bride make her dream wedding come true! I really like the idea for the photo of the hands in the sand with the rings in the beach collage. I hope y’all enjoyed this today! See ya next time 😎  And don’t forget to put a lil Dapper into your everyday!
